MAIN GEOCHEMICAL PECULIARITIES OF STRATHIFORM TUNGSTEN MINERALIZATION AT THE KHOJADYK DEPOSIT (SOUTHERN UZBEKISTAN)
Abstract
The article presents the main geochemical features of stratiform tungsten mineralization at the Khojadyk deposit. Stratiform tungsten mineralization of the Khojadyk deposit is confined to the rocks of the Shing suite of the Lower Silurian age of the volcanogenicterrigenous-carbonate formation, common in the wings of anti- and synform structures. Tungsten ores are represented by pyroxene-feldspar-quartz, pyroxene-amphibole-feldspar-quartz, amphibole-feldspar-quartz skarnoids, in which the main tungsten-bearing mineral is scheelite, accompanied by sulfide mineralization. Zones of thermal metamorphism are characterized by sedimentogenic accumulation of tungsten and accompanying elements: vanadium, arsenic and silver. In the geochemical characterization of ore-bearing metasomatites, it is necessary to note the progressive accumulation of tungsten, molybdenum, rhenium and (with redistribution) arsenic from the marginal to the central part of the metasomatic column.
