BOBURNOMA PROVIDES INFORMATION ON TIMURID AGRICULTURE IN THE FERGANA VALLEY

Abstract

In this article, Zahiriddin Muhammad Baburs book “Boburnoma”, information about development of agriculture in the Fergana Valley in the Timurid period is analyzed. Baburnoma contains valuable information that clarifies the problem. Bobur Mirzo, as a representative of his time, also had clear information about the agricultural art of the cities and villages of the Fergana Valley, its features, about what each city and village was famous for its fruits, grain and melons. Bobur Mirzo is not only the head of state, a great commander, a poet, also a scientist-encyclopedist, possessing geography, history, local history, an agronomist and possessed other qualities, knowledge and experience. By studying "Boburnoma", you can get detailed information about the agricultural culture of the Ferghana Valley of that time.
