Abstract

In this article, along with discussing the relationship of this field of linguistics with other disciplines, the comparative study of languages, the active development of modern linguistics, the sublimation of modern comparative linguistics, the theoretical views of long-standing human practice in the field of language description are emphasized, therefore, the pre-science and scientific sources of comparative linguistics are emphasized. Brief information on the history of the formation of comparative linguistics from ancient times to the present is given on the basis of examples from sources.
