Abstract
The article emphasizes the relevance of teaching mathematics for the profession in the preparation of future economists. Situational tasks are considered as a necessary tool for the implementation of professional orientation, the formation of professional and mathematical competence of future economists. Compilation of a situational problem (allocation of elements of a structural model of the problem) and its analysis, construction of a mathematical model, methods of its solution are described. The example highlights and discusses the ease of using information technology in solving situational problems.
