Abstract
Ultrasound is a safe, painless and informative method of examining the human body using ultrasonic waves. The ultrasound method is based on the principle of echolocation, which uses the ability of the tissues and environments of our body to reflect and absorb ultrasonic vibrations (waves). Directed ultrasonic vibrations scan the area under study, encounter tissues of different acoustic density, and their reflection (echo) is captured by a special sensor and a computer program that registers the resulting image on the oscilloscope screen.
