Abstract

This paper provides an overview of CLT in the context of teaching English as a second language. It specifically summarizes the benefits and drawbacks of CLT in comparison to traditional teaching techniques, current CLT developments, and challenges in implementing CLT in the university environment. Since then, it has aided instructors in developing a better grasp of CLT, and the article also proposes implications of teaching English with CLT in a university environment, such as structuring classroom activities and encouraging students.
