Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death and disability worldwide, with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) leading [6]. Despite such advances and the widespread introduction into clinical practice of many effective drugs, angioplasty and surgical treatment, CHD kills 17.3 million people annually, which is 30% of all deaths worldwide [7,10]. Scientific significance: in acute myocardial infarction with blinded cardiogenic shock (class IV acute heart failure) norepinephrine is reasonable. Norepinephrine does not cause proarrhythmic actions, shortens bed days and is more economically significant than other vasopressors.
