Abstract
This article deals with the pragmatic notion of presupposition and is defined pragmatic presupposition as "a relation between the utterance of a sentence and the context in which it is uttered". By an utterance of a sentence, a number of scholars refer to an actual act of speaking and by the context of an utterance they refer to the interlocutors involved in the speech act, as well as the physical and cultural setting of a speech act.
