"NONVERBAL ASPECTS OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION"
Abstract
Goal of the research is the identification of cultural-semantic peculiarities of nonverbal means and working out ways of teaching nonverbal aspects of intercultural communication in English classes. The novelty results of the research is seen 1) the theoretical assumptions of the the nonverbal aspects of intercultural communication have been summarised; 2) comparative analysis of nonverbal means in English and Russian linguocultures has been conducted; 3) the materials, instructions and assessment tools to implement the created model have been worked out. The proposed materials enable the development of students’ intercultural communicative competence effectively with a focus on teaching nonverbal means of communication; the developed materials and assessment criteria can be used both at the Bachelor’s and Master’s departments of language universities; the materials allow improving the level of students' intercultural communicative competence.
