Abstract

<em>The role of the Aral Sea in the development of the Central Asian communication system and the northern network of the Great Silk Road, the development of shipping from ancient times to the early twentieth century, the role of the sea in the lives of peoples living along the Aral Sea, trade routes and routes The distances between the addresses on the trade route, the Aral Sea and the Sariqamish basin in the region are analyzed on the basis of historical sources, archival documents on the example of ancient and medieval times.</em>
