Abstract

To address the issue of low efficiency in induction motors under light load conditions, we propose a predictive control method based on the loss model approach for efficiency optimization. Current research on magnetic flux optimization often overlooks the impact of iron loss resistance current, which can affect model robustness and accuracy. Therefore, we introduce a robust loss model that considers the iron loss resistance current for motor efficiency optimization. For the control strategy, we choose model predictive control (MPC) for its fast dynamic response and simple structure. To enhance the robustness of the loss model approach, we incorporate a model reference adaptive system (MRAS) based resistence identification method. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of our proposed method.
