Abstract
The article represents current trends in the surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Minimally invasive technologies in the surgical treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia as well as the features of various methods of endoscopic enucleation of prostate hyperplasia tissue are disclosed. A brief history and comparative analysis of the effectiveness of these techniques is presented. The need for an adequate assessment of postoperative complications of surgical methods for the treatment of BPH and the development of criteria for the normal course of the postoperative period, as well as criteria for postoperative complications, was noted.
