Abstract

The article analyzes the socio-economic transformations in Karakalpakstan at the beginning of the 21st century and the growth rate of its indicators. The main priority directions for the development of the Aral Sea region have been identified. Proposals are given for the extensive development of the oil and gas sector, the food industry, as well as the organization of various clusters.
