Abstract

Despite the fact that the relationship of metabolic syndrome (MS) with structurally functional changes in the heart is well established, the role of metabolic disorders, the main of which is insulin resistance (IR), is not completely defined. The role of IR in the development of coronary disease (CD) against the background of MS requires further study, IR plays, elucidation of predictors of functional heart disorders. The aim of the research is to study the effect of IR and metabolic disturbances on early structural and functional changes in the heart in patients with MS and to evaluate the course of coronary disease in the presence of MS.
