PROBLEMS OF STUDYING THE SOCIAL COMPONENT OF THE WORD MEANING

Abstract

This article analyzes the problem of the social component of the semantics of the word, reveals the main approaches to its study, defines the types of social semantics of language units, ways of expressing it. It is argued that the micro-components of the pragmatic macro-component of the semantic structure of the word are directly related to the social parameters of speech: the sphere and situation of communication, the social status of communicants, their gender, educational qualifications, socio-political, national-cultural, religious factors, etc.
