Abstract

Fractal structures containing relief surfaces have applications in a variety of fields, including computer graphics, geology, and materials science. In this article, we discuss the development of models, algorithms, and programs for generating and analyzing these structures. We review the history of fractals and their applications, and then discuss various algorithms for generating fractal structures, including iterated function systems, L-systems, and cellular automata. We also review methods for analyzing fractal structures, including box-counting and Fourier analysis. Finally, we discuss the implementation of these algorithms in computer programs and provide examples of their application in different fields.
