Abstract

<em>The article confirms antroponyms as common components of phraseological units in English language. The aim of the article is to study the ethymology and semantics of phraseological units that consist of names, surnames and other antroponyms. In the article the phraseologisms that have mythologic, literary, religious and historical antroponyms as components especially related to the history and culture of the countries like USA, England, Australia and others are analysed.</em>
