SELECTION OF SESAME CROP IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE SOUTHERN REGIONS

Abstract

In the whole world, sesame is grown on an average of 12.82 million hectares (ha). The 7 largest sesame producing countries in the world. There are countries like Sudan, Tanzania, Myanmar, India, China, Mexico and Burma. In 2010, 3.84 million tons of sesame were harvested in the world, in 2016 it was 8 million tons, and in 2025 this indicator is predicted to be 9.5 million tons. According to the received data, in 2009-2020, sesame cultivation decreased by 55%, from 1500 to 663 tons, and the cultivated area decreased by 43%, from 1500 to 849 tons.
