Abstract
The main goal of learning a foreign language is the formation and improvement of communicative competence. There are two ways of communication in language learning: oral (listening and speaking) and written (reading and writing). In this article, we will focus on listening as an integral part of foreign language learning. Listening competence is one of the most relevant topics in the modern methodology of teaching a foreign language, because it is impossible to communicate without listening.
