Abstract
It is known that the sharply occurring estrogen deficiency in the absence of an adaptive phase determines the high prevalence of dental diseases in women during menopause. Against the background of a deficiency of sex hormones, osteoporotic changes occur in the bone tissue, combined with resorption of the alveolar process; other periodontal tissues undergo inflammatory atrophic processes.
