Abstract

The article discusses state symbols of the Middle Ages. Living as a statesman and historian, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur left a rich inheritance. His encyclopedic work "Babur-nameh" is among the world's masterpieces. The works and miniatures made by him contain interesting heraldic information about political symbols (crown, throne, flag, flag, lyalov). Data reflecting the symbolism of medieval statehood is analyzed from the point of view of source studies. The meaning of state symbols and their features are revealed by words and image.
