Abstract

The article analyzes the art of the English writer Iris Murdoch's novel "Trapped". In this, the main attention is paid to the construction of the plot in the novel, the location of the plot components. The function of the exposition in the development of the plot, the beginning of the node and its place in the logic of the image, the influence of the node in creating the situation, the degree of growth of the main character in the plot, and the interdependence of the episodes are discussed. On the basis of scientific logic, the plot and image, plot and motif relations in the work are based on the artistic-aesthetic function of these issues.
