MENOPAUSAL TRANSITION AND MENOPAUSAL SYNDROME IN WOMEN AFTER THE COVID-19
Abstract
In the last decade, the concept of "active longevity" has been actively promoted, where a special place is occupied by the age aspects of women's health. The perimenopausal period of women's life is due to the consequences of estrogen deficiency, which in turn leads to physiological changes and diseases of other systems. The protection of menopausal hormone therapy improves the background state of the immune system and the coagulation system, increasing additional mechanisms for protecting the vascular wall. However, in the context of the ongoing COVID-19, many open questions arise regarding the prescription of menopausal hormone therapy, primarily the degree of their effectiveness and safety in SARS CoV-2. The answers to these questions are ambiguous due to the insufficient scientific evidence base and remain relevant.
