Abstract

Myxoma, the most common primary tumor of the heart, occurs in about 8-150 cases per million people. Most often it develops in the left atrium (60-88% of cases), exceptionally rarely in one patient myxomas may be present in both atria (less than 2.5%). This article presents and analyzes clinical cases of biatrial myxoma worldwide. Key words: myxoma, benign tumor, atrium, clinical case, surgical intervention.
