Abstract
The article is devoted to the issues of teaching the Latin language and the basics of medical terminology at a medical institute. The author believes that the training of highly qualified specialists who speak special terminology requires knowledge of a certain number of words of Latin and Greek origin. Based on practical lessons in Latin, he examines the features of the translation of complex and derived clinical terms.
