Abstract

This research paper aims to investigate the extent to which digitalization contributes to total factor productivity (TFP) growth in Uzbekistan. Digitalization, characterized by the adoption and integration of digital technologies and data-driven processes, has become a global phenomenon with far-reaching implications for economic development. In the context of Uzbekistan's emerging economy, this study seeks to discern the impact of digitalization on TFP growth and provide insights for policymakers and stakeholders. To achieve this, we employ an empirical analysis, incorporating data on digitalization metrics, economic indicators, and TFP measures. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between digitalization and TFP growth in Uzbekistan, suggesting that fostering digitalization could be a key driver of economic progress in the country.
