Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to examine the linguistic features of Joanna Rowling’s Harry Potter book series, to address issues of translating nouns, reporting verbs, adjectives and other words and analyze how they are used. Meanwhile, in comparison of Uzbek and English version of the novel, other translation issues are defined. The approaches of translating word and word phrases will be described based on their context.
