Abstract
This article examines the issues of creation and development of self-employment in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as its effectiveness, and gives specific scientific proposals for its further development and improvement. To do this, an analysis of the priority areas of self-employment, the dynamics of the growth of the number of self-employed was carried out; the experience of foreign countries on this issue was studied.
