Abstract

Vitamin D deficiency is a metabolic pandemic of the XXI century. Vitamin D deficiency is a condition characterized by a decrease in the concentration of 25 (OH) D in serum is below optimal values, which can potentially lead to suboptimal absorption of calcium in the intestine, the development of secondary hyperparathyroidism and an increased risk of fractures, especially in elderly people. The effect of vitamin D levels on reproductive function in both men and women has been proven. In this regard, timely correction of vitamin D deficiency is of great importance in solving reproductive problems.
