Abstract
A numerical method for solving problems of fracture mechanics (displacement discontinuity method) is proposed in the article.In the course of the study, an algorithm for modeling fracture systems in an elastic twodimensional medium with the presence of stress concentrators was considered under the action of a tensile load.The advantage of this method is that only the surface of the fracture, which models the rupture of the elastic medium, is partitioned into elements.This reduces the dimension of the problem at the solution stage.The problem is solved under the conditions of a plane stress state.
