Abstract

This article presents the results of scientific research on the development technology based on local raw materials to obtain corrosion-resistant coatings for the protection of the surface of gas pipelines made of metal. The dependence of water saturation of sulfur-bitumen coating on the content of sulfur modifier was studied and the obtained results were analyzed. Chemical substances were used in sulfur modification. Chemical substances were used in the modification of sulfur. After obtaining sulfur bitumen, its composition was studied and compared with ordinary bitumen. As a result of research, it was found that adding sulfur to the bitumen in the amount of 20% and 30% significantly improves the properties of the obtained sulfur bitumen.
