Abstract

It is important to create a cryptographic system in such a way that the system does not depend on the secret storage of the algorithm that is part of it, but only on the private key that is kept secret. The generation of cryptographic keys is directly related to randomly generated numbers. One of the main requirements for a random bit generator is the inability to predict the bits generated by the generator. This article describes the main characteristics of generating random bits using smartphone sensors and cryptographic hash functions. The generated random bits were checked based on NIST 800-22 statistical tests. As a result of the survey, a sequence of random bits was obtained from the tests at a value of P ≥ 0.01. This means that random bits that are generated based on the proposed algorithm can be used in cryptography to generate cryptographic strong keys.
