Abstract

In the article, the methods of creating new compounds of the Ti-Al system obtained by cold pressing and solid- phase synthesis in air for creating composite tooling materials with high corrosion resistance and heat resistance are presented. Research shows that a quality product is obtained when the amount of Al and Ti in the composition is equal to 50% by mass, and when the pressure is increased from 0.8 GPa to 5 GPa, considering the thermal increase, the temperature is 600 - 1500˚C, and the synthesis time is 3 minutes. was achieved. As can be seen from the X-ray diffraction spectrum of the obtained Ti-Al composite system, changes in phases began to occur as a result of the temperature exceeding 1400˚С. Alongside the AlTi stage, the samples contain other intermetallic compounds of the Al-Ti framework, usually due to the non-stoichiometric proportion of the beginning charge. Resets were prepared from the obtained Al-Ti compound. The duration of the reset test was determined to be 78-88 minutes, and it was checked by processing details with a hardness higher than 52 HR. As a result, it has been determined that it is possible to increase the service life of the resets by using the Ti-Al combination system.
