Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) stands as one of the game changers in a number of fields due to the growing potential that it comes with regarding advancing students in institutions of higher learning. This paper further explores the contribution of AI to increasing students’ achievements within higher learning settings. Recognizing success in a student with multidimensional attributes, embracing a wide dimension from academic to social and emotional, this study explores how AI technologies might support the diverse dimensions of development and attainment for students. AI has a pathbreaking opportunity in overcoming these challenges through personalized, scalable, and adaptive interventions designed for individual specific needs of the students. These dimensions would form the core toward the deeper analysis of AI applications across varied life cycles of students. Chatbots and virtual mentors provide immediate help and guidance; they even help predict the course of a likely academic or emotional risk so that timely interventions could be given in such cases with sentiment analysis and tracking of behavior. It further assumes a very important role in building learning environments that can meet the varied learning style, preferences, and abilities of learners.
