Abstract
In the world, special importance is attached to the issues of expanding the scope of leather products, introducing ecologically and hygienically safe leather products production technologies, and using new methods and technologies of leather products. The largest consumer of sodium dichromate is the production of chromic sulfate (37%), which is used for tanning leather, followed by the production of chromic acid (32%) and chromic oxide (21%). The remaining 10% corresponds to the production and direct consumption of chrome pigments. All over the world, during the production of leather products, special attention is paid to the production of leather products that are environmentally friendly and safe for human health.
