Abstract

In the dome, under the action of a load that varies according to an arbitrary law, meridional, ring forces, bending moments, shearing, transverse forces and other internal forces arise, for the determination of which one must proceed from the general equations of the theory of thin-walled shells. If the dome is loaded with an asymmetric load, has a smooth surface without kinks, and the shell thickness is small, the design of the supports provides free radial and angular displacement. In such cases, internal bending, torsional moments, and transverse forces do not arise, allowing the calculation of the domes to be carried out according to the momentless theory. Since in real structures the shell is pinched in the support contour, support bending moments appear in it, and they decay rapidly. For dome covers with a very small diameter, when a horizontal cover encircling the dome around the entire perimeter is installed at the level of the support ring, it is advisable to transfer the thrust to this cover. In this case, the coating is designed taking into account the thrust and bending moments transmitted to it. This article presents the results of a study of the operation of effectively reinforced conical domes of shells with a prestressed support ring in a momentless state, taking into account the inelastic properties of the material, as well as the creep and shrinkage of concrete.
