A Forecast of Groundwater Contamination Using Numerical Modeling Based on the Example of the Qibrai Area of the Chirchiq Deposit

Abstract

This paper provides a forecast of the groundwater contamination based on the example of the Qibrai area of the Chirchiq deposit. Models for the forecasting of the groundwater contamination and the identification of geofiltration and geomigration processes were composed. Using these models, we established a correlation between the quality of the groundwater and surface waters and revealed that the exploration reserves of the Chirchiq deposit form due to artificial resources and attracted resources (subsurface waters from the Chirchiq River).
