The Possibilities of Introduction of Augmented Reality Technologies as a New Impetus for the Development of Post-Pandemic Tourism in Uzbekistan
Abstract
The paper examines the prospects of integrating augmented reality (AR) technologies into the development of tourism in Uzbekistan, where a rich literary heritage is preserved. The main emphasis is placed on the development of a mobile application based on augmented reality technology and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) algorithm, which allows users in an interactive format to explore the houses-museums of famous writers with accurate positioning and visualization of virtual content in a real environment. The SLAM algorithm provides simultaneous map generation and user localization, allowing the mobile device to accurately determine the user's position in space and adapt AR content based on the user's position and orientation. This approach allows achieving high accuracy when superimposing virtual objects on real elements, which is especially important for museums.
