Abstract

The rapid digitalization of the logistics industry has significantly changed the way companies manage and finance their supply chains. This article examines the prospects for digital ecosystems to improve supply chain finance in logistics companies, with a particular focus on the role of digital payment platforms, high-speed internet, and e-marketplaces. Looking at the period from 2018 to 2022 in ten European countries, the study analyzes how these digital tools affect the profitability and efficiency of logistics operations. The study uses econometric models to assess the relationship between key digital factors and the return on investment (ROI) for logistics companies. The results show that digital payment platforms and e-marketplaces increase financial transparency, reduce operating costs, and optimize resource allocation. In addition, high-speed internet access is shown to play a critical role in supporting the integration of digital tools in supply chains. The results highlight the significant potential of digital ecosystems to drive innovation and profitability in logistics, offering valuable insights for policymakers and businesses looking to invest in digital transformation.
