KEPERCAYAAN TENTANG MITOS DAN KEMUDAHAN AKSES TERHADAP PEMERIKSAAN KEHAMILAN DI DESA LOSARI KECAMATAN GONDANG KABUPATEN NGANJUK
Abstract
Background: Tradition, one of which is myth, influences mothers in seeking pregnancy healthservices which is still strong in Indonesian society (Ministry of Health of the Republic ofIndonesia, 2019). Myths that do not support the health of pregnant women should be corrected byhealth workers when pregnant women make antenatal visits. The aim of this research is to analyzebeliefs about myths and ease of access to pregnancy checks in Losari Village, Gondang District,Nganjuk Regency. Subjects and Methods: Research design with a cross sectional method, carriedout in Losari Village, Gondang District, Nganjuk Regency in April 2024. The population of thisstudy were all pregnant women with a population of 82 respondents. The sample consisted of 68pregnant women. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. The independent variablesare beliefs about myths and ease of access. Measurement scale using a questionnaire. Thedependent variable is pregnancy examination with a measurement scale using a questionnaireand data in the KIA book. Statistical analysis uses the chi square test. Results: of the total of 68respondents, 40 respondents believed in the myth that the majority (75%) of these respondents didnot have their pregnancy checked according to the advice of health workers/ANC less than 4times, namely 30 respondents. The results of the chi-square analysis show that the p value = 0.000is smaller than the alpha value of 0.05, meaning there is a relationship between belief in mythsand Pregnancy Examination of Pregnant Women. The odds ratio result for belief is 7.52, meaningthat mothers who do not believe in myths have a 7.52 chance of having their pregnancy checkedearly in pregnancy and regularly. Conclusion: Belief in the myth of not having a pregnancycheck-up in the early months of pregnancy is a factor that influences mothers' awareness ofhaving a pregnancy check-up. Health workers should provide information during premaritalcounseling about myths that do not support the health of pregnant women. Easily accessiblehealth services support pregnant women for pregnancy check-ups.
