Abstract
This article examines words that entered the lexicon of the Uzbek language through Russian during the twentieth century on the basis of a comparative-philological analysis. The study comparatively analyzes the phonetic, morphological, syntactic, and semantic differences between original Russian lexemes and their borrowed variants in Uzbek. It also reveals the functional activity of Russian loanwords in the Uzbek literary language, their stylistic features, and their socio-historical conditioning. The process of interlingual influence is assessed from the perspective of the internal laws of the Uzbek language, and the stability and adaptability of the national language system are presented on a scholarly basis.
