Abstract
"he article examines the Chinese written source “Shuyi zhouzilu” (“Comprehensive records of foreign countries”) by Yang Zongjian and his information on the historical geography of Central Asia during the reign of the Ming Dynasty in China (1368-1644). The article introduces extracts from the essay “Shuyi zhouzilu”, which significantly supplement and expand the general information on the history of relations between the peoples of Central Asia and China in the Ming period. The essay “Shuyi zhouzilu” has yet to be thoroughly investigated, since the source contains little-studied information on the historical geography of Central Asia, on the political situation in Central Asia in the Ming era."
