Abstract

Carbon neutrality and sustainable economic development can only be attained through measures that are reported and checked, fair for all, and based IoT for carbon emissions tracking. Blockchain technology can provide a tamper-proof record for carbon footprints, carbon credits, and to guarantee compliance with the laws as well. In this paper, the use of blockchain technology in carbon neutrality and environmental compatibility is discussed throughout exploring decentralized carbon market place, publicizing supply chain, and smart contracts for the disagreement of carbon credits. Thus, the results of experiments confirm the applicability of technology in lowering the level of emissions, increasing green energy consumption, and increasing people's confidence in carbon offset management.
