Abstract

Centrifugal water pumps are widely used in industrial enterprises, water intake structures, irrigation systems, and domestic applications. Their efficiency and reliability make them ideal for various water supply needs. This paper presents a mathematical model developed to determine the water intake and electrical energy consumption of a centrifugal pump featuring a separated rotor and impeller. The pump is powered by electricity generated from photovoltaic panels. The model considers hydraulic parameters and solar power characteristics to accurately estimate both flow rate and energy use. This approach is especially useful for designing autonomous, energy-efficient pumping systems in rural or agricultural areas where solar energy is a practical power source. The developed expression supports analysis and optimization of sustainable water pumping operations.
