Abstract
This article will discuss the origin of speech act theory and its categorization according to several researchers’ views. Theapplication of speech act theory in economical discourse will be analyzed and illustrated with the table of authentic samples. Thearticle will try to emphasize the role of speech act theory to study pragmatic features of economic discourse.
