Abstract

The core of the title complex, dichloridobis(propyl 4-{[1-(2-methyl-4-nitrophenyl)-1 H -1,2,3-triazol-4-yl]methoxy}benzoate)copper(II), [CuCl 2 (C 20 H 20 N 4 O 5 ) 2 ], which belongs to the copper(II) complex family, consists of two C 20 H 20 N 4 O 5 ligands and two chloride ligands arranged around the metal, forming a trans -dichlorido square-planar complex. In the crystal, the molecules are linked by C—H...Cl and C—H...O hydrogen bonds as well as by aromatic π–π stacking interactions into a three-dimensional network. To further analyse the intermolecular interactions, a Hirshfeld surface analysis was performed.
