Abstract
In this study, binary extractant-diethylammonium p-aminobenzoate was synthesized in the organic phase, and its extraction properties were studied by the extraction-spectrophotometric method depending on the composition of the initial substances, the acidity of the medium, and the ionic strength of the aqueous phase. The synthesis of a coordination compound of copper (II) with diethylammonium p-aminobenzoic acid and its extractability were investigated under various conditions. To study the reactivity of diethylammonium p-aminobenzoate and its coordination compound with copper (II), the theoretical parameters of the free, protonated, and coordinated diethylammonium p-aminobenzoate molecule were calculated using the semi-empirical method. The quantitative characteristics of binary extraction of metals were studied by the extraction-spectrophotometric method. The composition, structure, and properties of the synthesized binary extractants and their coordination compounds with copper (II) were studied using UV, IR, and thermal spectral analysis methods.
