Abstract

A Ce0.72Zr0.18Pr0.1O2 – δ nanodispersed solid solution is synthesized by codeposition followed by thermal treatment. The identification of the material is performed by X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, low-temperature adsorption of nitrogen, and gas chromatography. It is found that the synthesized Ce0.72Zr0.18Pr0.1O2 – δ solid solution is superior to CeO2 and Ce0.8Zr0.2O2 in catalytic activity and thermal stability as a result of doping with Pr3+ ions.
