Abstract

The article presents the objective of studying the theory of rock bolting. To study the mechanism of interaction of rock bolting with surrounding rocks, the principles of operation of rock bolting elements, the influence of various factors on the efficiency of fastening, etc. This allows us to develop a theoretical basis for designing rock bolting and, ultimately, to ensure safe and efficient gold and coal mining. Many theories have been proposed previously about the mechanism of action of rock bolting, such as the "suspension" theory, the "combined beam" theory, the "reinforced arch" theory, etc. These theories have played a positive role in the development and application of rock bolting, but they all have certain limitations and cannot meet the needs of the development of rock bolting technology at the present stage.
