Abstract

Scientists of Navoi State Mining and Technological University by chemical and modern physico-chemical methods of analysis established the presence of saponite mineral in the composition of dolomite mineral of Vaush deposit, located in Navbahor district of Navoi region. Chemical and mineralogical composition of this mineral was analysed. The results showed that the content of calcium and magnesium oxides in saponite mineral is 20-23%. The results of research on the extraction of magnesium chloride solution by treatment of saponite mineral with hydrochloric acid in burnt and unburnt states, as well as by co-firing with calcium chloride and subsequent conversion of the obtained product into magnesium chlorate are presented.
